I wrote a program to generate stereograms from depth maps in JavaScript. The above shows the Utah Teapot. I make parallel view stereograms, viewed by letting your eyes relax to look through the screen as opposed to crossing your eyes. I'm unable to do crossview.
As part of this project I also wrote a program to generate depthmaps from 3D models. The UI allows you to position and rotate the model and adjust the near and far clipping plane to control the depth effect.

These dot stereograms are a bit harder to see as you have to overlap one dot with the dot directly next to it so it is easy to overshoot. To make it easier I recommend opening the images in a new tab to view them in a larger format. These aren't related to random dot stereograms, they're better classified as wallpaper stereograms.
